My Plan To Be Focused Has Been Going Well In Most Classes. English Happens To Be One I Haven't Been Focused In. I Was In Class Today And Counted All Of The Things That I Should Have Posted To My Blog So Far And I Had Done One! So I Am Going To Attempt To Fill My Blog Up A Little More. My Plan Needs To Be Reinforced And I'm Doing It.

SPRING POST 1: Music As Literature

According to Dictionary.com this is what literature is: writings in which expression and form, in connection with ideas of permanent and universal interest, are characteristic or essential features, as poetry, novels, history, biography, and essays.

Music Is Literature Because It Is ALLLLL About Expression. It's About Feelings, Thoughts, Ideas And Opinions That Have Universal Interest So It Most Definitely Is Literature In That Aspect. It Does Say Poetry, Novels, History, Biography And Essays But I Personally Would Add Music To It.

BUT, The Fourth Definition Is: the profession of a writer or author.
And In Music The Writer And Artist Do Profess Their Words To An Audience.

Music Is Literature Mainly Because It Is Expression And Profession From The Writer And/Or Artist.

Literary Analysis Questions #1

GENERAL
  1. The Book Was Simply Telling The Story Of A Girl's Life And The Impact It's Had On Her Emotionally, Socially And Physically.
  2. I Think It's Simply Just Telling A Story Of Someone Who Looks Back Onto Why She's The Way She Is.
  3. The Author's Tone Is Kind Of Like Pissed At The World. The Main Character, Dolores, Hates Everyone In Some Small Way. "Ma held me and rocked. "Shh, now. Easy. Just tell us what it is. Just say it" "It's her," I said. "I hate her." (During This Part She Had Pointed At Her Grandma And Said She Hated Her Grandma) "I hated Petey" (Petey Was Dolores' Mother's Bird) "At Jeanette's slumber party, I told Kitty Coffey she smelled like a hamper and I was delighted when she cried."
CHARACTERIZATION
  1. "Time after time I voted for the same Rheingold girl, whose dark brown hair and red-lipped smile reminded me both of Gisele MacKenzie from "Your Hit Parade" and my own mother, the best looking of the three", "My father was proud and protective of his own dark good looks. I remember having sometimes to hop around and hold my pee until he was finished with his long grooming behind the pink bathroom door on Carter Avenue.", "Don't you ever-ever!-tell me what I can and cannot say in the privacy of my own home," my father shouted from behind the door.", "She turned abruptly toward me and caught me watching her shiny, wet breasts.  Sloshing, she strapped her arms around herself and became, again, my proper mother."
  2. Dolores' Syntax/Diction Doesn't Really Change At All. She's The Same To Everyone.
  3. I Would Consider Dolores To Be The Protagonist Because She Battles Her Weight And She's Dynamic Because She Does Change. She's Also Round Because She Develops Throughtout The Book.
  4. I Felt Like Dolores Was A Real Person In The End Since I Got To Know A Lot About Her Life. "This is one of the patterns of our three-year marriage." She Started Out Being Four Years Old And In The End She's Married.
